Milenrama Rioja Rosado 2023 750ml

Milenrama (Spanish for "yarrow," a flower prevalent in Rioja and prominently featured on the label) is a value-oriented project in Rioja from up-and-coming female winemaker Ruth de Andrés. Her varied C.V. boasts chemistry and enology degrees in three different countries, experience at top firms in Bordeaux and the Penedès, sommelier-course teaching, and, most recently, winemaking for export markets. The goal? Perhaps her own words are best– vinos buenos, bonitos y baratos — good, honest, inexpensive everyday wine.

The Rosado is a blend of mostly Garnacha with a splash of Viura. The red grapes macerate for 4 hours to gain a pale salmon color before fermentation and resting in stainless steel.

The Milenrama Rioja Rosado is a visual delight with its pale pink hue. The fine nose of red berries, including raspberries and wild strawberries, and a subtle hint of lavender, create a unique and inviting aroma. But it's the vibrant and refreshing taste that truly sets this wine apart, leaving a lasting impression on the palate.
