Angel's Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon is matured in new charred American oak, then finished in ruby port wine barrels. The result is a bourbon of unusual polish: vanilla, raisin, maple syrup and toasted nuts on the nose, with ripe fruit, toast and a touch of bitter chocolate on the palate. Bottled at 86.6 proof, it is soft and approachable enough to sip neat, yet layered enough to stand up in an Old Fashioned or Manhattan. A great bottle for bourbon fans who like a rounder, slightly sweeter style.
