Description
Bruno Giacosa's Barbaresco Santo Stefano Riserva comes from the Santo Stefano cru in Neive, the vineyard most closely associated with Giacosa's early fame. 1982 was a great, ripe and powerful vintage in Piedmont, and this Riserva has aged into a celebrated bottle.
At four decades old, look for a mature, ethereal Nebbiolo bouquet of dried roses, cherry, tar, forest floor and truffle, with silky tannins and a long, savory finish. Stand the bottle upright before serving and decant carefully.
