Unaged grappa produced at Caffo Distilleria Friulia in Udine, Italy Composed of 95% Magliocco and Gaglioppo grapes and 5% Pinot Grigio Distilled twice in a bain-marie-style alembic pot still wherein the grape skins are steam distilled The nose is reminiscent of an unaged Armagnac or pisco with high floral notes and aromas of Bosc pear; the palate is soft and silky, showing plenty of pear, underripe tropical fruit, toasted rice, and fresh cream 40% ABV Caffo's Grappa Italiana is an elegant and inviting introduction to a category of spirit notorious for its often brutish intensity. Enjoy on its own or mixed into cocktails in need of dry fruit notes.
