Campari is the iconic Italian red bitter, created by Gaspare Campari in Novara in 1860. Its recipe of herbs, fruit and botanicals remains a closely guarded secret, and it is bottled at 24% ABV in North America. Bold and bittersweet, with bitter orange, cherry, clove and herbal notes, it is the essential ingredient in the Negroni, Americano and Boulevardier, and also excellent simply with soda and an orange slice.
