Chateau Chantalouette Pomerol 2018 750ml

Château Chantalouette is the second wine of Château de Sales, the largest estate in Pomerol. The 2018 is a Merlot-led blend of 62% Merlot, 21.5% Cabernet Franc and 16.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged one-third in oak and two-thirds in vat. From the excellent 2018 Bordeaux vintage, it is approachable and juicy, with plum, black cherry and earthy notes, grippy but ripe tannins and a long mineral finish. An affordable way into Pomerol.
