Pontet-Canet is a Fifth Growth Pauillac neighboring Mouton Rothschild. Under the Tesseron family it has become one of the Médoc's great success stories, later famous as a biodynamic pioneer. 2002 was a cooler, classic vintage. Expect a mature, savory Pauillac with cassis, cedar, graphite-like minerality, tobacco and earth on a medium- to full-bodied frame. It is drinking well now.
