Description
Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé is the largest owner of the grand cru Musigny in Chambolle-Musigny, and its old-vine Musigny is one of Burgundy's most sought-after reds. The domaine's Musigny is made from its oldest vines in the vineyard and labeled Vieilles Vignes.
The 2000 vintage gave a more open, charming style of Côte de Nuits Pinot Noir. Expect the hallmark Musigny combination of perfume and depth: violets, red and black cherry, raspberry and spice over a silky, fine-grained structure. With more than two decades of age, it is now showing secondary notes of forest floor and sous-bois.
