Description
Diego Magaña is a young winemaker from Rioja Alavesa focused on traditional, village-driven Rioja. Anza is a field-blend style red, mainly Tempranillo with Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo plus a little white Viura and Malvasía. It is aged about 12 months in used barrels and vats.
The 2023 is clean, elegant and medium-bodied at 13.5% alcohol, with bright red fruit, fine tannins and a fresh, savory finish. A great example of the new wave of Rioja Alavesa.
