Domaine de la Solitude is a historic Châteauneuf-du-Pape estate run by the Lançon family, who descend from the Barberini family. Its roots trace back to the 15th century. Tons of black cherry and ripe-blackberry fruit, but not a jot overripe. This is a bold and substantial wine for the appellation, thanks to the healthy dose of soft tannin.
