Domaine Ponsot is the reference producer of the grand cru Clos de la Roche in Morey-Saint-Denis, and its Vieilles Vignes bottling comes from the domaine's oldest vines. 1990 is one of the great Burgundy vintages of the modern era. Robert Parker gave this wine one of the highest scores of the vintage. Now fully mature, it should show a deep, exotic bouquet of dark cherry, plum, earth, spice and truffle over a sumptuous, silky palate. A treasure for the Burgundy collector.
