Description
Giuseppe Rinaldi is one of Barolo's great traditionalist estates, now run by Beppe Rinaldi's daughters Marta and Carlotta. Its Brunate-Le Coste was a blend of the Brunate cru (in La Morra and Barolo) and Le Coste, aged in large old casks. Changes to Barolo labeling rules later led the estate to bottle Brunate separately.
The 2006 comes from a powerful, structured vintage. It is a muscular, sinewy Barolo with bright red fruit, rose, tar and spice and firm tannins, built for long aging. A rare 3-liter (double magnum) bottle.
