The Macallan 12 Years Old Sherry Oak is matured exclusively in sherry-seasoned European oak casks from Jerez, the classic, richly sherried style that built The Macallan's reputation in Speyside. The official notes describe dried fruit, candied citrus peel, ginger and nutmeg on the nose, a palate of raisins, sultanas, ginger syrup, cinnamon and vanilla, and a long finish of oak and warming ginger. A benchmark sherried single malt.
