Marc Hebrart Champagne "Clos Leone' 1er Cru 2016 1.5L

Marc Hébrart (now run by Jean-Paul Hébrart) is one of the top grower estates in the Vallée de la Marne. Clos Le Léon is a small walled Chardonnay parcel in the premier cru village of Dizy, and its Champagne is a single-vineyard Blanc de Blancs. The 2016 was fermented in oak, did not go through malolactic fermentation, and aged about six years on its lees before an Extra Brut dosage. Expect a taut, chiseled Champagne with citrus, white flowers, brioche and chalky minerality. Magnums are rare.
