Mauro Vannucci "Piaggia" Carmignano Riserva 2021 750ml

Piaggia is the Vannucci family estate in Carmignano, the historic Tuscan appellation west of Florence where Cabernet has been part of the blend for centuries. The 2021 Riserva is about 70% Sangiovese, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, and 10% Merlot, aged 18 months in French barriques. It is deep and polished, with black cherry, cassis, tobacco and spice over firm, fine tannins. It will age well for a decade or more.
