Straight bourbon whiskey sourced, finished, blended, and bottled by Prohibition Craft Spirits in Louisville, Kentucky Bourbon distilled by MGP in Indiana; two mash bills may be utilized for any given batch: 75% corn, 21% rye, 4% malted barley and 60% corn, 36% rye, 4% malted barley Aged 6 years in new American oak barrels before being finished in vat with French oak staves of varying toast levels Fresh soil, campfire wood, Sichuan peppercorn, and flashes of minerality mingle on the nose, underscored by clover honey. Loose-leaf violet black tea and a hint of lemon curd on the palate lead to a drying finish of marjoram and mint. Non-chill filtered; 51.5% ABV (ABV will vary batch to batch in a range of 50%-57%) A compelling combination of oak types, toast, and char converge in a bourbon that is at once brooding and buoyant on the palate. Let go of any preconceptions about what French oak lends to the finishing process and simply enjoy the ride.
