Raul Perez La Vizcaina 'El Rapolao' Bierzo 2020 750ml

Raúl Pérez is Bierzo's most celebrated winemaker. La Vizcaína is his range of single-vineyard wines, and El Rapolao comes from a site in Valtuille. It is mostly Mencía with some Bastardo and Garnacha Tintorera, fermented with whole clusters, aged about a year in used French oak, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. The 2020 is fresh and mineral, with dark fruit, eucalyptus and graphite over fine tannins and bright acidity.
