His eye for creative opportunities is evident in his numerous contributions, including his role in pioneering the Rosé movement in the U.S. in the 1990s. He also introduced a more sustainable way to package wine through tetra-packs, kickstarting the trend of wine-on-tap in restaurants, and co-founded Sombra, a Mezcal brand created long before its time. However, his latest innovation is truly turning heads, putting a modern, unique twist on his famous Rosé winemaking technique.

Introducing Bottlerocket Spritz - a delicious blend of Rosé wine, botanicals, blood orange, and happy terpenes by Charles Bieler of Bieler Family Wines. It's a fully flavored yet delicately balanced combination of high-tone red fruit, ripe blood orange, a touch of botanical bitterness, and a hint of sweetness. The "happy" terpenes, including Beta-caryophyllene, linalool, and D-limonene, are derived from fruits and vegetables (not hemp or cannabis) and are known for creating a gentle euphoric lift and mood-boosting experience. Bottlerocket has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of just 9% and is carbonated to a Prosecco level. Natural fruit and botanicals are used, and it is not filtered, with minimal preservatives, ensuring distinctive full flavors and a hazy appearance.
